The art of crappy movie games.

Sat Nov 21, 2009, 9:33 PM
If there is one thing that frustrates me more then anything is a bad game based off a great movie. Star Trek has just hit the shelf and with it comes the arcade game D.A.C. To sum it up, D.A.C. let's you control a ship in a series of game modes with or without other players that essentially waist your time and hard earned 10 dollars...I wish people in charge of the Star Trek IP would be more selective in who they sell too and essentially get involved with actual production of the game. Did no one learn from Mr. Jackson? Oh well...eventually they will learn...maybe...er, probably not.

So I set forth on a mission of intergalactic space shooting insanity, in an attempt to due justice where it is deserved. I have begun production on my own Star Trek indie fan game in the hopes of showing how a game should complement it's origins, not take it for granted for it's own personal gain. I'm hoping to release this game within the week, or at least release a build that will demonstrate the point I'm trying to make.

Wish me luck, I very much need it.

I'm the Indie 'Nobody'...someone lost in his own thoughts fighting his way towards something greater. Whether I'll make it or not...only the future holds that answer.

The shields they turned, the swords they clashed,
agmonst the carrion, they burned to ash.
The time was now, the time was late,
And so did fell the sword of fate.

I dont know where my ideas come from, best left unsaid for most, dont listen to the rest...

Thanks Laz. I was actually surprised how many TGC'ers are on here. Honestly there are only a handful of artists on the forum, compared to the thousands of programmers. :)

More the hard coding rather than the creativity ^_^
